AFRICA DAY - 25th MAY

25th of May is Africa Day.(El día 25 de mayo es el Día de África).

👉It commemorates the founding of the African Union.(Se conmemora la fundación de la Unión Africana).

👉They celebrate debates about the challenges and solutions for the development of that continent.(Se celebran debates sobre los retos y soluciones para el desarrollo de ese continente).

👉Mi propuesta para hoy es construir y decorar la cara de un león inspirada en el arte africano. El león es un símbolo de nobleza para los africanos.

👉Como siempre, te aconsejo que utilices los materiales que tengas más a mano. Algunos ejemplos:

- Paper (Papel)

- Cardboard (Cartón)

- Magazines, newspapers (Revistas, diarios)

- Coloured pencils, tempera paints, oil pastels, crayons... (Colorines, témperas, ceras blandas, ceras duras...)

- Scissors (Tijeras)

- Glue (Pegamento)

- Wool (Lana)

- Fabric (Tela)

- Plastic bags (Bolsas de plástico)

- Whatever! (¡Cualquier cosa!)

👉Aquí te dejo el paso a paso de un ejemplo de propuesta y algunas fotos para que te sirvan de inspiración. Tú, como siempre, intenta ser original.

1- Colour the background on a piece of cardboard or craft paper. (Pinta el fondo sobre un cartón o cartulina).

2- Prepare the differents pieces for your lion: the mane, the head, the nose, the mouth, the eyes, the whiskers... Colour them and add lots of lines and dots. (Prepara las diferentes piezas de tu león; la melena, la cabeza, el hocico, la boca, los ojos, los bigotes... Píntalas y añade muchas líneas y puntos).

3- Assemble the pieces to make your lion. Glue them on the background. Ta-dah! (Organiza las piezas para hacer tu león. Pégalas en el fondo que preparaste con anterioridad. 🎺¡Tachán!🥁).

         

4- You can make other African animals if you prefer. (Puedes hacer otros animales africanos si lo prefieres).

5- Looks too complicated? You can just draw and colour it. (¿Te parece demasiado complicado? Puedes dibujarlo y colorearlo, sin más).
